sure she's cute, but what can she do?
In recent months we've had many people come to us and say, "Gosh, your daughter is cute!" Well, we can't deny that fact! However, in this dog eat dog world, cute only gets you so far. The real question is, what can she do? As concerned parents, not to mention parents who have been plagued by the cuteness syndrome all their lives, we have taken special effort to make sure that Nadia's 'cuteness' is not all she has to rely on. Recently, we have been teaching Nadia the fine art of driving. Sure she's not driving on roads, or in a real car, but we are teaching her the essentials such as how to yell at traffic, as seen in the picture above.
Beyond these motoring skills, we felt it necessary to teach her how to maintain a clean home. Besides, when Mom's out grocery shopping, someone has to clean-up after Dad. She has really taken a liking to sweeping, and as long as it stays in the house and not at the curling rink we're okay with it.
Of course driving and housework are important, but a girl's gotta make her millions somewhere. That's why we've started teaching her the fine art of fine art. Oh sure, it doesn't look like much now, but it's twice what most of the pieces are at the Mendel Art Gallery! Soon she'll be raking in the cash from a squiggly line on a piece of paper. Then we'll charge her rent! So as you can see, sure she's cute, but she's also got skills!
