where we live and what we're doing. catching up: part 3
This is the acreage we are house sitting for the winter. We are here because we are looking for a house to buy and haven't found one yet. There's not much for sale in Birch Hills. But we're having a lot of fun in the yard while we wait for houses to come up for sale. This is a cool looking old barn we can see from the kitchen - although the door has a sign: Danger rat poison! So we haven't checked it out inside.
This is our "street". Tim keeps telling me to call it a road...a grid road! We have a few neighbours near by...they all attend our church!
Here's the field out back, behind all our grass.
We are loving the wagon! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma! We've been on many excursions and Nadia loves to give it a pull, and Colin doesn't seem to mind.
Colin relaxing in the wagon. It was a cool day.
Daddy and Nadia mowing the endless grass. If you live in town and think you have a lot of grass, just remember that it takes 3 or more hours to cut our grass, and it's still growing! Die already! Just kidding - the green grass is awesome to play on!
Our neighbours dog Noah! Nadia loves him so much and the feeling is mutual, which is always good since she likes to sit on him.
Nadia finally put on the dress Auntie Lisa brought her from Thailand! It is so cute and now she just loves it. She always wants to wear it.
An updated shot of Colin and Heavy Baby! Way to go Colin - you're now longer than Heavy Baby!
Colin has been smiling since he was 5 weeks old. He's just such a happy baby! Today Colin is 2 months old and loves to coo and 'talk' and smile. He's sleeping long at night and eating lots during the day! He's great!Tim had a birthday on the 9th. We're now the same age for a while. Nadia and I got him a Bowflex. It came in so many boxes and pieces - I was impressed he could get it set-up. And I'm double impressed that he uses it all the time.
So internet access is still not at our house, but soon - we're hoping! Apparently our new computer is too new to have a dial-up modem. So right now we are working on getting the new modem installed and running.

Yay, more pictures!
I see the hat is still too huge on Colin. Maybe next summer it will fit? Anyway, it's good to see that he is quite a bit bigger than heavy baby.
I'm glad that Tim is enjoying his bowflex. Usually those things are just good dust collectors. Good on ya Tim!
Take care.
Nice pics, guys- reminds me of the place we lived in in Loon Lake--
As for internet- I'm wondering if it's possible to get high speed wireless out there with sasktel. They were going gangbusters on it when we were there but were concentrating on farm areas outside of the larger cities...
anyways, maybe a thought
Mike-
Hey guys. I just love all the pictures. I miss you so much. I can hardly wait to come home this weekend and see how you are all doing. I'm glad Nadia likes the dress. She is so cute!
Mike,
Yes we can get high-speed but they want up to $500 just for the equipment and then $50 a month after that. That's hard to do for a temporary place. If it was permanent then it would be more feasible.

Looks like a nice place to hang out. Glad you are doing well. Colin is really growing! So glad he's a happy baby :)
Love from Karen, Clint, Owen
$500 for equipment and $50/ month!!!?!?!
That's outrageous! For that price the modem better come equipped with a 5 person outdoor hot tub...
mike
wow..your kids have totally stretched out!
Thefarm looks like a blast and I'm happy for the update. :)
Blessings, Christy
